PROOF Positioning Privacy Policy

This privacy Notice applies to all respondents of Proof, Inc., a Kansas Corporation, (hereinafter, “Proof”) except where otherwise noted.

Proof is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the individuals and respondents who take our surveys.  This Privacy Policy outlines how Proof collects, uses, stores and discloses information in connection with our survey activities.

 

Definitions

Personal Data

“Personal Data” refers to respondent information submitted or passively collected while interacting with a survey.  Typically, Personal Data is name, email address and ZIP code or company name if applicable.

Respondent

A “Respondent” is an individual that receives a survey from Proof directly, or via a third party.

 

Personal Data

We act as a survey provider on behalf of companies (“Client”) to collect responses from Respondents.  We do not collect any personally identifiable information during the survey process.  

Collection of Personal Data

During the course of a survey, you may voluntarily provide your Personal Data.  Proof will not collect any additional information that will lead to your identity if the Respondent does not explicitly share it.  Any information shared within the survey responses is completely voluntary and is provided by Respondents at their discretion.

Collection of Other Data Including Digital Data

When Respondents use our survey, certain technical information may be automatically collected such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type.  This information may be aggregated and used for analytical purposes to enhance our services or may be relevant to Proof’s Clients.  This information does not personally identify any Respondent.

 

Use of Personal Data

The primary purpose of our services is to collect survey responses on behalf of Clients.  We use the survey responses to generate aggregated and anonymized reports for our Clients.  These reports do not contain any personally identifiable information and are used by our Clients for analytical and decision-making purposes.

No Sale of Personal Data

At no time will Proof sell any Personal Data of a Respondent to any third party.

Collected Meta Data

From time to time, Proof will collect certain metadata of Respondents while they are interacting with a survey including, but not limited to, the time it takes for a Respondent to answer a question and the start and end times of completing a survey.

Data of Minor Persons

Proof does not collect information on any minor person (under the age of 18). If a minor person impersonates an adult over the age of 18 we may collect that Personal Data unknowingly.  If such information is discovered, Proof will delete any data associated with a minor person.

 

Security of Data

Proof takes reasonable steps to ensure that the limited Personal Data it does maintain is protected.  We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data.  However, there is no absolute guarantee of security.

Location of Data

Any Personal Data Proof may store is maintained on secure servers that may be located outside of your state, province, or country.  Identity and data laws may differ geographically.

Transfer of Data

Proof will not transfer your Personal Data to any third party other than Proof’s client.

Request to Delete Data

If you would like your Personal Data remove or deleted at any time please contact us and we will remove any data we can identify that may be associated with you.

 

Disclosures

Proof may disclose your Personal Data in order to comply with a legal request, to protect the intellectual property of Proof, or to secure legal liability.

Proof may engage third parties and service providers to assist in the delivery of our survey services.  These service providers are bound by their own privacy and security standards and Proof can make no guarantee of such service providers.  Proof does take reasonable action to vet and assess any third party.

 

Changes to Privacy Policy

Proof may update or make changes to our privacy policy from time to time at Proof’s discretion.  In the event a change is made to this Privacy Policy, it will be disclosed in an outbound email or communication.
