Junior Achievement
Every child deserves to believe in themselves – and to have the tools to do it. Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City engages the wisdom and experience of volunteers from across the community to empower KC area youth with the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choice to fulfill their greatest potential. JAKC Champions ignite a spark in young people to see opportunities – and seize opportunities for their future. JA shows the next generation what’s possible. For them and for our city.
Steps of Faith
Steps Of Faith is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to providing prosthetic care, hope, and comfort to amputees needing financial support We get prosthetic limbs to uninsured and underinsured amputees. We get folks back to work and back to life by restoring mobility and restoring possibilities.
Newhouse
For almost 50 years, Newhouse has been committed to protecting domestic violence survivors and building a stronger tomorrow for our community. Survivors have found respite with our comprehensive services, which allow them to truly heal from trauma. Unfortunately, domestic violence never takes a break, but neither does Newhouse.
Cornerstones of Care
Cornerstones of Care is a trauma-informed behavioral health nonprofit dedicated to improving the safety and health of 15,000 children and families. It provides education, mental & behavioral health, foster care & adoption, youth support, family support and community trainings in Kansas, Missouri and beyond. Folly Theater
The Folly Theater, aptly described as “Kansas City’s Carnegie Hall,” is the region’s only remaining 19th Century theater. The Folly provides memorable arts experiences in an intimate, ornate hall through over 120 unique and varied events, including internationally acclaimed artists and hometown favorites. The Folly-produced Jazz Series, Kids’ Series, and Americana Series, together with outside presenting groups like the Harriman-Jewell Fine Arts Series, the Friends of Chamber Music, Heartland Men’s Chorus, Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, and Knuckleheads Saloon, provide a diverse array of programming for nearly 60,000 patrons each year.
